Who can utilize Respite?
Respite is a short term break for caregivers of those taking care of someone whose disability requires 24/7 care.
If you are caring for someone with a long-term or life-long disability then respite may be just the break you are looking
for.

Training Information
The Nebraska Respite Network is committed to helping family caregivers and respite
providers with their training needs. Since we serve all ages and all disabilities it is often easist to assist caregivers
and/or providers to attend trainings that will specifically benefit those they are taking care of. If you know of a
training you'd like to attend please complete the attached Training Stipend Request and mail it to: WCHR/Respite, 821

Additional Training Information
Respite Providers and Family Caregivers are welcome to take classes through the Panhandle Partnership Training
Academy. The Training Academy Brochure is listed below.
We also have a video library and several books available for check out. See the Available media link
below.
If you are a caregiver for a person who experiences developmental disabilities you may be able to receive
funding through the Developmental Disability Advisory Council to attend trainings. The training request form is available
